Your data is yours. Here's how we protect it.

    Last Updated: June 8, 2026

    1. Introduction

TradeJournal ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our trade journaling platform (the "Service").

By using TradeJournal, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.

This policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

    2. Information We Collect

Personal Information: When you register for an account, we collect your name, email address, and optionally your phone number. If you subscribe to a paid plan, we collect payment information (processed securely by our payment partners — we do not store card details).

Trade Data: You may voluntarily enter trade details including entry/exit prices, strategy names, emotions, notes, and screenshots. This data is private and belongs solely to you.

Usage Data: We collect information on how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, and time spent on the platform. This helps us improve user experience.

Device & Log Data: We may collect IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers for security and analytics purposes.

    3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the Service, including account authentication, trade logging, and dashboard analytics.

To process payments and manage your subscription (Free, Starter, or Pro plan).

To communicate with you regarding updates, security alerts, and customer support.

To improve our platform through aggregated, anonymized usage analytics.

To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

    4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud servers located in India and other regions. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256).

We implement Row-Level Security (RLS) to ensure that only you can access your trade data. No other user or unauthorized party can view your personal trade logs.

While we take industry-standard measures to protect your data, no internet transmission is 100% secure. You acknowledge this risk when using online services.

    5. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember preferences, and analyze platform usage.

Essential cookies are required for the Service to function (e.g., authentication).

Analytics cookies help us understand how users interact with the platform. You can disable these through your browser settings.

By continuing to use TradeJournal, you consent to our use of cookies as described.

    6. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services for authentication, payment processing, email delivery, and analytics.

Payment processing is handled by Razorpay (for India) and Stripe (for international users). Your payment details are never stored on our servers.

These third parties have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

We do not share your trade data or personal information with advertisers or data brokers.

    7. Your Rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data.

You may export your trade data at any time (CSV export available on Starter and Pro plans).

You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us through our contact us page. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in emails.

    8. Children's Privacy

TradeJournal is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

If you believe a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at

For material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the platform at least 7 days before the changes take effect.
